Jason Hamilton, CPP -- President & chief operating officer
As an Officer and partner in the company, Jason’s primary role is the coordination of management and marketing operations for ALERT Protective Services. This includes static security, patrol, consulting & investigation services.
Mr. Hamilton is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP™), as awarded by ASIS International, the world’s largest organization with over 35,000 members worldwide. As such, he is Board Certified in Security Management. This certification is awarded to individuals whose primary responsibilities are in security management, have the necessary experience & education and who have demonstrated advanced knowledge in eight separate disciplines:

To ensure this knowledge is relevant to an ever changing security landscape, all CPP™’s must be recertified every three years by exhibiting a combination of community activities, industry participation and continuing education.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin and Master’s Degree in Business from the University of South Florida in. He has over 17 years of experience in Security, Loss Prevention and Risk Management, This expertise includes safety & security operations, financial, business & asset protection management, risk management & consulting, investigation & interrogation and employee training.
His experience has come from a variety of management roles with Fortune 500 companies that included Harley-Davidson, Briggs & Stratton, Office Depot, Target Corporation, JCP Company Inc., Securitas and Allied-Barton Security Services, working both directly for and servicing them as clients. Mr. Hamilton focuses now on marketing and promoting ALERT through social media outlets like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, supporting each by actively blogging through the Alert Management Blog and publishing articles in industry trade magazines and newsletters.
Mr. Hamilton possesses a Security Agency Manager’s License with the State of Florida and is also an active member, instructor & Gold Sponsor for CAI – West Florida Chapter. In addition, he has been an active member of ASIS Internationalsince 1997, obtaining his (CPP™)certification in 2007. In 2008 Mr. Hamilton was appointed to the ASIS Security Services Council (SSC), where he currently serves as the Newsletter Committee Chair. Jason also serves the community as an active member and assistant secretary of the Stoneybrook At Venice Community Development District board of directors.
