Patrol Services

ALERT's High Profile Area Patrol Service offers a alternative to on-site security officers. This patrol service conducts inspections of client facilities throughout a given geographic area seven nights a week, 365 nights per year. Too often businesses sacrifice security due to cost. ALERT's highly visible Area Patrol services are a inexpensive deterrent to crime.

Typical duties performed during an Area Patrol service inspection include such services as:

  • After-hours securing of doors, locks, gates and pools
  • Private beach patrols
  • Parking lot patrols
  • Covenant / rules enforcement
  • Employee/ resident escorts
  • Interior building inspections
  • Verified alarm or incident response

Patrols at your community or business are conducted by tenured patrol supervisors in a clearly marked ALERT Protective Services patrol vehicle, similar to what is seen above.

Shared Community Patrol Service

ALERT offers a modified version of its Area Patrol service, shared between several communities in very close proximity to each other. Shared Community Patrol service costs for the officer(s), vehicle(s) and associated vehicle maintenance and fuel costs are split between the communities and/or businesses served, making it a cost effective security solution to a dedicated patrol.

Dedicated Community Patrol Service

Our Dedicated Community Patrol service vehicles reside in your community or office complex. This is also known as a "closed patrol". In this application, one or more marked ALERT patrol vehicles are dedicated to your location and never leave your property while in service. We can also perform this service in a marked patrol vehicle provided by your community or business, as shown here, in this example from the Bird Key Community in Sarasota.

Security Signage

In combination with ALERT patrol services, clear, highly visible signage acts in concert with the concept of Security in Depth, where signage acts as a first line of defense at the property line.  Further, it satisfies two of the purposes of physical security planning:

  • Clear signage focusing on deterrence from and delay of any criminal or trespass actions
  • Psychological comfort for residents/employees/clients as a clear reminder that a security is present & visible

This also keys into the concept of CPTED: Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.  CPTED focuses in part on physical barriers  -- natural & structural, to deter criminal activity.  Typically, these may include: fencing, natural shrubbery, lighting  location & illumination and clear/visible signage.

Signage is available for all ALERT clients, as either a directly mountable weather - resistant sign, or one affixed to a ground stake.
