The ALERT Difference

Officer Selection & Training

RECRUITING is a vital element in ALERT's selection process. The fact is that security companies in Florida draw from the same labor pool due to state regulations (F.S.493) that require security officers to be "licensed". However our commitment to pay a "living wage" expands the boundaries and depth of our pool and makes us different.  Unlike other companies, we do not fill posts. We are obsessed with selecting the most qualified candidates who meet the requirements of each position; job matching. We create opportunities for security and service professionals. We invest in our people by offering above market wages, excellent benefits and unlimited growth opportunities. The results of this "I care" philosophy are a stable, loyal and dedicated security service team.

Once hired, our commitment is to provide our customers with properly & thoroughly trained security officers by offering a comprehensive, multifaceted training program that focuses on three key concepts:  Engaging, Empowering & Educating our team.

Engage, Empower & Educate

Training and Development in our business is a multifaceted set of activities of which e-Learning style training is among them.  The goal is to bring ALERT officers up to another threshold of performance.  Studies have clearly shown that engaged, empowered and educated security officers are the drivers to a work environment that has a positive impact on employee behaviors and attitudes as well as customer satisfaction and loyalty.
