ALERT Protective Services focuses primarily on Residential Community and Commercial Office Building markets, with an emphasis on Gated and Condominium Community security. We believe that security in this specialized market is "personal' not "business" and in order to meet each client's expectations, you must have dedicated local management that is specialized.
We customize our services to deliver a program that combines both technology and manpower to enhance and expand the effectiveness of the security officers. Our primary job is to listen, understand and offer solutions to the problems our customers present.
We are able to further distinguish our team by the professional certifications achieved and organizations we belong to.
One of the most important differences that sets ALERT apart from the competition is our management team. The ALERT Protective Services management team represents over 175 years combined experience in security, loss prevention and business management. The education of our team speaks for itself as detailed in our management biographies. Our reputation throughout Florida is excellent, as our client list and involvement in the community will testify.
ALERT's primary security consultants are security executives with many years of experience. They are Certified Protection Professionals. Anyone can say they are a "consultant". But CPPs are Board Certified in Security Management.
The CPP designation is an internationally recognized professional security certification awarded to individuals whose primary responsibilities are in security and asset protection management. To qualify, candidates must meet the experience & educational requirements set forth by the examination board and then demonstrate advanced knowledge in security solutions and best business practices including 8 separate disciplines. More information on the CPP certification can be found at the ASIS website.
ASIS has been awarded accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the US member for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This endorsement confirms that ASIS's Certification programs adhere to the highest professional standards.
This ASIS certification program is the first and only program of its kind to be awarded a coveted Designation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology (SAFETY) Act of 2002. Specifically, the Act's designation affords holders of an ASIS certification – and organizations they represent – a dispensation under federal law against claims alleging that an ASIS certification somehow contributed to losses stemming from a terrorist attack.
Residential communities make up the core of ALERT's security program focus. Given this, we are long standing members of Community Associations Institute (CAI) in each market we operate. ALERT has committed to being an active member in all chapters, but especially the West Florida Chapter, based in Sarasota. Doing this allows us to support our core customers with interaction, education and involvement in the community. We take this commitment seriously, as we feel the business community and general public need on-going education about the importance of quality security providers. To that end, Mr. Haidet and Mr. Hamilton are approved instructors for Understanding and Assessing Security Services, a CAI CEU credit course for Community Association Managers.
